Research and development

Created in 1999, this association brings together groups working in the beef and sheep
farming industry (breeders, merchants, wholesalers, advisory bodies and l’Aria and l’Adiv….)
There are three main strands to its mission:

Research into the quality of the meat

To initiate research into the quality of the meat by working with scientific and technical institutions on the character of Charolais meat and its products, in terms of quality and nutrition. Working in collaboration with butchers, a current project is focussing on the links between the tenderness of meat and its colour.
